Anytime i remember the huge gap between those at the rural area and those at the urban center tears always drop from my eyes.
Every year equal budget allowcation are given to both rural and urban centres but the level of education at the grassroot is very low. Most of the youth there dont value education majority of them are more of adult than school age, they are forced to attend school especially secondary school. those at the primary school haveno qualify teacher even where there are teachers, most of them dont teach with there heart, this is so disturbing that i wonder in ten to twenty years to this time what will be left of this people.
The so call Universal Basic Primary Education introduced was just to enriched some leaders pocket there is nothing like free education. Most of the States are claiming of providing free Education but at the end no qualitative education for the teaming youth of tomorow.
I happened to be in one of such rural area where i teached, to be sincere with you this is enslaving those at the grassroot to the detrement of those at the urban centre. the student to come to school not until the examination is around the corner.
They always believe that the teacher should show them the examination paper before examination and if he or she refuses they traped him or her.
Furthermore the effect s so much that they prefer going to farm and do manual works than coming to school .
As a result of this, the youth lacked focus and most of them never know what they want to become in future. Their future is so bleak that urgent attention have to be taken.
Talk of immorality and juvenile defficiency, so common that a female student got pregnant during schooling and nothing happen .She will be going home during break to breast feed her baby. They see this as an achievement than their education. Many of the student dont even believe their is HIV AIDS,anytime i try to educate them on it they laugh at me.
The future of these youth are so shallow that they are been turned into second citizen in their own country at the detriment of those so spoiled brat at the urban areas.
Most of foreing aids programmes meant for those at the grassroot are rnjoyed by the children of the rich and those in power. This international organisation should go there themself and see the true face and agony of rural youth.
